The Southwest Kansas Pro-Am is the longest running professional tournament in the State of Kansas. The Pro-Am began in 1979 as a traveling tournament. Each year it was held in Dodge City, Liberal, or Garden City, Kansas until it was decided the two beautiful renowned golf courses in Garden City should be the permanent home of the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am.

The Southwest Kansas Open Pro-Am provides grants to three local agencies each year to benefit from funds raised for the professional golf tournament. All agencies throughout Southwest Kansas are welcome to apply. See the Grant Application to apply.

Prior to 2023, over $1 million of proceeds from the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am benefited the Stephen Meyers Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS.
